Dermapen scalp microneedling
Microneedling on the scalp as cosmetic support for weakened hair. It does not diagnose or treat hair loss — that belongs to a dermatologist.
How it worksMicroneedling on the scalp that stimulates the area and helps hair actives get in.
- Rhythm
- Spaced sessions, then maintenance.
- Back to normal
- A sensitive scalp for a few hours; you go out as normal.

What it is
It is the same principle as facial microneedling, applied to the scalp: microchannels that stimulate circulation in the area and let hair actives reach the follicle instead of sitting on the surface of the hair.
The realistic aim is to improve the follicle’s environment: a better-irrigated scalp, less hair shed through sheer weakness, and density that looks somewhat better. It works on follicles that are still alive.
And here is a sentence that always has to be said: hair loss has medical causes — hormonal, nutritional, autoimmune — that an aesthetic centre does not diagnose. If your hair loss is recent, sudden or patchy, the first stop is a dermatologist. This accompanies; it does not replace.
Who it is for
- Weakened, fine hair with no body
- Seasonal or stress-related shedding that has already been assessed
- Density that has been slipping gradually
- As support for a hair treatment prescribed by your doctor
Better to wait, or to check first, if…
- Sudden or patchy loss, or loss with itching, flaking and redness: a dermatologist looks at that first
- Scarring alopecia — where the follicle is already gone and the skin is smooth and shiny — there is nothing left to stimulate and the follow-up is medical
- Seborrhoeic dermatitis in a flare, psoriasis or scalp infections
- Wounds, crusting or undiagnosed lesions in the area; moles on the scalp are not worked over
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Clotting disorders or anticoagulant treatment, without medical clearance
- Ongoing cancer treatment, immunosuppressive treatment or autoimmune disease in an active phase
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- A recent hair transplant without your team’s discharge
- Known allergy to any of the hair actives used
Hair loss is diagnosed in a medical consultation, not here. This treatment supports a plan; it does not replace one and it does not promise to bring hair back.
The session, step by step
- 01
Scalp assessment
We look at the area, ask about the history of the shedding and whether a doctor has already seen you.
- 02
Cleansing the area
The scalp is cleaned and disinfected before we work.
- 03
The Dermapen pass
The area is worked section by section, adjusting depth to the thickness of the scalp.
- 04
Hair actives
The actives are applied while the absorption window is open.
- 05
Aftercare
We explain the home care and how it fits with whatever you are already using.
What it feels like
Mild, prickly discomfort in some areas, particularly the temples and the crown. The session is short.
Before and after
Before you come
- Come with clean hair and no styling products
- Do not colour your hair in the days immediately before
- Tell us which hair treatment you are using, if any
After the session
- Do not wash your hair that same day
- No colour, bleach or straighteners in the following days
- Avoid heavy sweating, the pool and the sauna while the area recovers
- A hat or cap if you are going to be in full sun
When you see it
Hair runs on its own calendar and does not respond quickly: any change is judged across several cycles and by comparing photos taken from the same spot, not next month and from memory.
What it does not do
- It does not create hair where there is no follicle left
- It does not reverse androgenetic alopecia
- It does not replace medication or a dermatologist’s follow-up
- It does not replace a hair transplant
